1945 Trunks
4
Alexandre Balmain, Pierre Balmain’s grandfather, travelled across Europe in the 1800s, carrying an enormous trunk filled with a selection of jewellery, ribbons and hardware for his French, Swiss and German clients. Inspired by that unique Balmain family history, Olivier Rousteing and his team turned to some of France and Italy’s most talented artisans to create a new collection of luxury trunks and bags, each covered with Rousteing's recently revamped version of Pierre Balmain’s PB-Labyrinth pattern. Of course, only the finest materials were acceptable for this new line—including beautifully grained American Walnut, flawless and supple calfskin, an impressive Jacquard and uniquely Balmain golden embellishments.
