“We are the new generation” is how one sequinned top in on Balmain’s fall runway summed it up. That catwalk presentation and this selection of designer high-heel shoes and boots both reflect one basic, central truth, one that Olivier Rousteing has often repeated: he designs for how his generation wants to live today.
