You can pre-order a selection of products before they reach the boutiques. They will be conveniently delivered to the address you prefer as soon as they are available in our stock.

In the Product Page of pre-order items you will also find their expected shipping date.

If your order includes both products that are already in stock and pre-order items, the products will be shipped at two different times, but you will only be charged once for delivery. If you purchase more than one pre-order item with different expected shipping dates, the products will be sent all together on the latest expected date.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail as soon as we ship your parcel.

In the event that an item reserved by the Client does not arrive, the Client will be informed and a refund or store credit will be issued.

The credit card will be charged on the date that the order is placed.

The shipping address country inserted for Pre-Orders cannot be modified, updated or changed in any way.

Store Credit can be requested in lieu of refunds for returned merchandise and other cases when the requested item may not be available. In such a case, please note that the Store Credit can be used only once within 6 months of issuance in its entirety on an order that is either equal to or greater than the value of the Store Credit. After this six months delay, the credit balance shall be directly refunded on the credit card which has been used for the online payment. Beyond this time period, the credit amount will be credited directly on the credit card used for the online payment.

Before we can dispatch your purchases, we may need to confirm your details with your card issuer. We will do our best to keep delays to a minimum.

Our delivery time starts from the moment an order is accepted and includes a 24 hour period where your items will be processed and dispatched by our warehouse. Please note this can take longer during our sale periods or for items from the Balmain store in Paris, it may take up to 48 hours for shipments to be dispatched.

We work closely with our shipping partner to minimize the potential impact of custom delays on our international customers.

When the order is shipped, Clients receive an E-mail from BALMAIN.COM specifying the tracking number and a direct link to monitor the shipment status. In the event of delays in Customs, Clients will be notified directly by the courier and/or BALMAIN.COM. insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfilment by and transfer of responsibility in the same way.

Taxes and duties are calculated according to your shipping destination and itemized on the Order Summary page. French VAT will be applied to orders dispatched within the European union. Local VAT will be applied to United Kingdom, Italy and Germany.

Most countries are shipped to on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis, which means that all relevant import taxes and duties will be included in the product price.

If a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) destination is selected, product prices displayed are exclusive of all taxes and duties, as well as French VAT. For countries outside of the European Union prices are exempt from VAT and do not include import duties, which must be paid upon delivery.

Shipments from BALMAIN.COM that contain an item made from an exotic pelt destined outside of the European Union by law require an extra document called C.I.T.E.S. (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna).

This document acts as a passport for the item and explains that the item comes from an animal bred specifically for commerce and not taken from the wild. For more information please see: .

The documents are issued from the Fishing Wildlife and Game Custom’s Office and take 14 days to be processed.

Due to standard processing time for the documents, the shipment will be delayed.

In some cases, the customs office may ask the recipient of a package to provide an import license in order to receive the delivery. Any costs involved in the process of obtaining the license are the client's responsibility and are not refundable by BALMAIN.COM.

Making a return or exchange is easy. Just make sure you request a Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and send your item(s) back to us within 14 days of receiving your order.

1. Sign into your account and under My Orders, select the order number containing the items you would like to return. If you have placed your order has a guest, specify your order number.

2. In order detail, select the item(s) to return.

3. For each item, specify if you would like to exchange your purchase or obtain a refund or a store credit. Please note, store credit is valid for one year from issue date.

4. Specify the item condition.

5. For each item, choose the reason why you want to send your item(s) back.

6. If you'd like to exchange an item because the fit isn't right, specify in the comment box the replacement size.

7. Check the box to agree with our Return Policy. You will then receive an email containing your RMA number.

If you are based in the EU under the French Consumer Code: articles L121-21 to L121-21-8, you have the right to cancel your order with us, provided you give us written notice any time after your order has been placed, up until 14 working days from the day after you received you order.

1. You must notify customer care in writing of your wish to cancel the contract for your entire order under the DSRs any time after your order has been placed, up until 7 working days from the day after you received you order. 2. On receipt of your notice of contract cancellation, customer care will email you a Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Please complete this on the returns pro forma invoice that you received with your order, and include it with your return so we can process your refund promptly.

3. We recommend that you insure the return shipment as you are under a duty to take reasonable care of the goods and will be liable for damage to them until we receive them at our warehouse. We also recommend that you use a secure, trackable means to return your order to us at PIERRE BALMAIN SAS, 44 rue François 1er, 1st floor, 75008 Paris, France and that you retain proof of sending, in case of a dispute.

4. Please note that you must cover the cost of the return shipment, as our free collection service does not apply to orders cancelled under the Distance Selling Regulations.

5. All items must be returned unused, in their original condition and from the country that the order was delivered to.

6. We will refund the full value of your order, including shipping costs, within 14 days of receiving your notice of contract cancellation. If we do not receive the cancelled order, we will arrange to have it collected from you at your cost.

Please note you may only use your right to cancel the order under the DSRs if you give us formal written notice of cancellation any time after your order has been placed, up until 7 working days from the day after you received you order, as described above.

There is no charge to exchange items for a different size, however all exchanges are based on stock availability. Shipping is also free on the replacement item, but if you are based outside the EU you will need to pay taxes and duties on this.

To exchange an item, simply request a Returns Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number using the «My account» link in the top right area of the page. In My orders, select the number of the corresponding order. Select the item(s) you would like to exchange. In the comment box, specify the new size you require.

Please note that we are only able to offer size exchanges. If you wish to exchange your item for an alternative style, we suggest that you return it for a store credit and purchase the new piece separately.

Once you have received your RMA number, simply send back your item(s) using our free collection service.

Sign the returns pro forma invoice that you received with your order (and fill in the FEDEX air waybill if applicable).

You will be notified by email once your return has been received and processed.

We recommend that items are returned from the same country to which they were delivered. This ensures that your return is covered by our free returns policy and reaches us promptly. Orders sent back from a different destination may incur additional charges or be delayed by customs. For more information, please contact customer care.

Your refund will be credited to the original payment method or as store credit to your account.

Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.

If your order has been sent to a destination within the EU, all sales taxes will be refunded. Outside the EU, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly. As this may not be available for all countries, we recommend that you hire a customs broker if you wish to claim back duties on returned merchandise.

Please note that refunds can take up to 10 working days to show on your account due to varying processing times between payment providers.

Your item(s) should be sent back to us within 14 days. Returns outside these timeframes may be accepted at the discretion of and may only be refunded as a store credit.

Items should be returned new, unused, and with all Balmain garment tags still attached. Returns that are damaged, soiled or altered may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer.Where provided, belts and packaging such as authenticity cards, dust bags and leather tags should be included with your return.

All shoes must be tried on a carpeted surface until you are certain you are keeping them. Shoes should be returned unmarked and in their original, undamaged shoe box as this is considered part of the product. Shoes that are returned without a box, in a damaged box or with marked soles may not be accepted, and may be sent back to the customer.


Fragrance must be returned unused, unopened, and in their original packaging otherwise we may not accept them.

Faulty goods

Goods are classified as faulty if they are received damaged, or where a manufacturing fault occurs within six months of purchase. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.

If you would like to exchange your item, please be aware that we can only replace it for the same product in the same size, subject to availability.
